AUDITION FOR ONE-DAY FILM TEST - SUBMISSION EXTENDED TO 4/17

We are looking for LOCAL talent (who can self travel to Culpeper, VA) to help us conduct a FILM TEST in using AI to augment live performance by the talent in front of a green screen backdrop. The successful completion of this test will determine how the feature length production will be filmed and produced, and final talent casting. Talent must be 18 years old. This production (Love Never Dies Film) is non-union.

Date of Filming: Saturday, April 26, 2025

Timeframe of Filming: 10am to 5pm Eastern

Meals: Provided all day

Pay: $200 for the day (transportation is not covered)

Location: Culpeper, Virginia (address provided once role is cast)

• CONSTANCE ARMSTRONG (18-22) - Our protagonist. A fiercely intelligent, proud Southern woman with unwavering resilience. Raised by her judge father to think independently, she possesses both elegance and grit. Initially hostile to Union forces, her worldview is challenged when she forms a connection with Captain Ames. Must convey complex inner conflict between Southern loyalty and personal feelings, with the ability to project strength even in vulnerability. Actress must handle emotional range from righteous anger to tender vulnerability, and possess a natural dignity. Character arc from defiant Confederate sympathizer to a woman who chooses love across battle lines. (Speaks with a Virginia Southern accent.)

• CAPTAIN AARON AMES (mid20s) - A principled, Harvard-educated Union officer from Boston. Thoughtful and introspective, he joined the war believing in its moral cause but grows disillusioned with its methods. His growing love for Constance challenges everything he thought he knew about duty and loyalty. Actor must convey intelligence, moral complexity, and quiet strength. Should be able to project both military bearing and genuine kindness. Character arc from confident Union officer to a man questioning his allegiances for love. (Speaks with slight Portland, Maine accent.)

2. PLEASE NOTE THIS ADJUSTMENT TO THE SCRIPT/SIDES IN LIEU OF KISSING:
   In the first scenes Constance will run to Ames and they hug, then she pulls away. But when she sits in his lap this is a beautiful, tender moment and he kisses the palm of her hand and then one finger at a time. Fade out before a real kiss. In the scene where Ames confesses about killing Stringfellow there would be a hug (not a kiss) when he arrives between Ames and Constance.

1. The chemistry between Constance and Aaron is crucial to the film's success. We will conduct chemistry reads between potential pairs.
2. Period-appropriate speaking styles required, but avoid overly theatrical delivery—must balance historical authenticity with natural, accessible performances.
